Colorado Grit
Ice hockey team in Colorado, USA
The Colorado Grit are a Tier II Junior ice hockey team from Greeley, Colorado. The franchise began in 2023 as an expansion franchise in the North American Hockey League.
History
In January of 2023, the NAHL approved the Colorado Grit as an expansion franchise.[1] The Grit's initial ownership group was the same one that ran the Northern Colorado Eagles (a Tier I junior team). Despite this, and the fact that both teams played out of the Greeley Ice Haus, officially there is officially no connection between the two clubs, though the similarities have caused some confusion.[2]
