Jamber/Jambar (Urdu: جمبر), is a densely populated town in Pakistan . It has two parts divided by a road one side is called Jambar Khurd and other as Jamber Kalan. It is also called the land of Jaat. Both parts are separate union councils. In the early 2024 it was declared as town committee but soon after it was changed to Union Council near Bhai Phero in Punjab, Pakistan. It is a part of Pattoki Tehsil in Kasur District. It has many public facilities like basic health unit, post office, girls and boys high schools and telephone exchange. Two banks namely HBL and BOP are operative here. Multiple private educational institutions, owned by individuals are operational here. Rafiq Model School is well known and prominent school in this area. It is attached with Punjab Education Foundation and provides free education to the needy students. Cricket is a popular game here, along with football, kabaddi, volleyball and badminton.
Location
It is situated on the N-5 about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) away from Phoolnagar and 66 kilometres (41 mi) away from Lahore, the capital of Punjab Province.
Established company, Century paper & board mills is near Jamber. It is a progressing town.
