Kallimedu is a village under the Talaignairu panchayat located near Vedaranyam in the Nagapattinam district, Tamil Nadu. As of the year 2011, it had a population of 5,341.[1]

Geography

Kallimedu is situtaed on the eastern shore of the Vedaranyam Canal, about 35 kilometres south of the district headquarter Nagapattinam. It has an average elevation of 2 metres above the sea level, and covers an area of 1167.7 hectares.[2][1]
