Kashal-e Azad Sara (Persian: كشل ازادسرا)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Kurka Rural District of the Central District of Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh County, Gilan province, Iran. The previous capital of the rural district was the former village of Kurka.[4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 746 in 216 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 733 people in 250 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 669 people in 236 households.[2]
