Estonian ice hockey team
Viru Sputnik is an Estonian professional ice hockey team playing in the Meistriliiga but hasn't participated in it since the 2016-17 season. The club is based in Kohtla-Järve and the home arena is Kohtla-Järve Ice Hall.[1]

Estonian Championship (Meistriliiga) history
The team regularly participated in the Meistriliiga hockey league from its inception until the 2016-2017 season.[2] It won the title once, in the 2010 season.
The team returned to Meistriliiga competition for the 2021-2022 season.[3]
