El Torneo de la División I de Baloncesto Masculino de la NCAA de 1989 se celebró para determinar el Campeón de la División I de la NCAA. Fueron 64 los equipos que disputaron la fase final, jugándose la Final Four en el Kingdome de Seattle.[1]
Los ganadores fueron el equipo de la Universidad de Míchigan, que conseguía su primer título tras disputar su tercera final, derrotando a la Universidad Seton Hall, en su primera aparición en una Final Four. Glen Rice, de los Wolverines fue máximo anotador y elegido Mejor Jugador del Torneo.
