Eadburh

Eadburh (staroengleski: Ēadburh), također navođena i kao Eadburg, (fl. 789-802) bila je kćer kralja Offe od Mercije i kraljice Cynethryth. Udala se za kralja Beorthrica od Wessexa. Prema navodima Asserovog teksta Život Alfreda Velikog nehotice je otrovala svog muža. Nakon toga je pobjegla u Franačkoj, gdje je imala priliku da se uda za kralja Karla Velikog, ali ju je upropastila. Potom je imenovana opaticom jednog samostana. Međutim, tamo je bludno zgriješila s jednim izgnanikom iz Engleske. Zbog toga su je otjerali, te je kraj života dočekala kao prosjakinja na ulici italijanskog grada Pavia.
