John Feffer

John Feffer (Tenafly, 16. 10. 1963. – ), američki politički pisac i komentator, romanopisac, dramatičar i teatarski producent.

Feffer je rođen 1963. u Tenaflyju u New Jerseyju i studirao je engleski i ruski jezik na Koledžu Haverford kod Philadelphije gdje je stekao titulu prvostupnika (B.A.). Određene semestre slušao je u Engleskoj i Rusiji, živio je u Poljskoj i Japanu, te učestalo putovao diljem Evrope i Azije. Radio je kao gustujući predavač na Univerzitetu Sungkonghoe u Seulu, Univerzitetu New York, Univerzitetu Hofstra i Koledžu Union u New Yorku, Univerzitetu Cornell u Ithaci i Univerzitetu Sophia u Tokiju. Od ranih 1990-ih napisao je desetak političkih knjiga o međunarodnim odnosima, uglavnom o Istočnoj Evropi i usponu nacionalizma, globalizaciji i američkom unilateralizmu, Korejskom poluotoku i utrci naoružanja, te islamofobiji. Bio je član Fondacije za otvoreno društvo u Istočnoj Evropi, član PanTecha korejskih studija na Univerzitetu Stanford, član Scovillea za kontrolu naoružanja i razoružanje u Washingtonu, a od 2010-ih radi kao direktor projekta Foreign Policy in Focus pri Institutu za političke studije, ljevičarskom trustu mozgova u Washingtonu. Također, bio je i dobitnik stipendije Herbert W. Scoville, te član AFSC-a, Centra Blue Mountain i Zaklade Wurlitzer. Redovito se pojavljivao u novinama odnosno televizijskim i radijskim političkim emisijama, te pisao za The New York Times, The Washington Post, Foreign Policy, The Nation, The Huffington Post, Salon, AlterNet i brojne druge medije. Uz politiku, bavi se i pisanjem romana i teatarskih komada. Objavio je dva romana – Foamers (1997, pod pseudonimom Jon Berson) i Splinterlands (2016), a poznatiji komadi su mu The Pundit (2012) i The Politician (2013), izvođeni na festivalima kao što su United Solo i FringeNYC u New Yorku, Capital Fringe i Evropski mjesec kulture u Washingtonu, itd.
