Vanilil-alkohol oksidaza (EC 1.1.3.38, 4-hidroksi-2-methoksibenzil alkohol oksidaza) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom vanilil alkohol:kiseonik oksidoreduktaza.[1][2] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju

vanilil alkohol + O2 {\displaystyle \rightleftharpoons } vanillin +H2O2

Vanilil-alkoholna oksidaza iz Penicillium simplicissimum sadrži kovalentno vezani FAD. Ona konvertuje širok opseg 4-hidroksibenzil alkohola i 4-hidroksibenzilamina do korespondirajućih aldehida. Alil grupa 4-alilfenola se takođe konvertuje u -CH=CH-CH2OH grupu.
